The fridge is large enough to hold space for groceries and leftovers. This model features an ice maker that produces fresh, filtered ice automatically. It's simple to use, and it's also easy to use. LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

LG counter-depth refrigerators have a lot of storage into small footprints. Counter-depth refrigerators are less expensive than standard-depth French door refrigerators, and can eliminate the need for an under-counter smaller freezer. The LG Smart Mirror InstaView counter-depth refrigerator (LMWC23626S) is no exception and offers the capacity of a standard fridge, but in a sleek, modern design with an internal dispenser that makes it easy to access filtered water.

This model's exterior showcases a fingerprint-resistant stainless steel finish and a mirrored InstaView panel that adds to the modern look of the interior. The door bins are spacious of space, and the top shelf can fold down to create a half-depth shelf that can hold taller items. A set of crisper drawers is located in the lower part of the refrigerator and the full-width deli drawer is suitable for meat or produce.

A recessed ice maker is located on the back of the refrigerator. This helps to save space and allows you to store an additional bag of ice. The refrigerator uses a door-cooling system that makes use of vents in the doors of the fridge and freezer to push cold air into the refrigerator. It prevents hot spots and keeps temperatures more consistent throughout the refrigerator.

This LG refrigerator stands out in our tests and has plenty of capacity to keep a family well-fed, but it does have some quirks that we found irritating. The drawers for the freezer aren't as cold as we'd like. The middle drawer was 41 degrees during our highest test of use which is warm enough to serve ice cream and other frozen food items. The temperature of the rest of the freezer remained around 36 degrees.

Another issue is that the refrigerator doors have handles that are sunken on the inside and beneath making it difficult for those who are smaller to guide them closed. It may seem like a minor issue but we prefer front mounted handles on refrigerators because they're easier to open and close.

The fridge is expensive, but it's well worth it for anyone who wants an ultra-modern appearance in their kitchen. This refrigerator is recommended for those who want to upgrade their current refrigerator or for those who are building new homes and want a seamless look for their kitchen.

Samsung Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

Samsung's latest counter-depth French-door refrigerator model, the RF23M8090SG, is priced at $4200. It's a good-looking model that boasts useful features like an autofill water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It also performed well in our cooling tests, although we're not fans of its plastic handles and the crisper bins appear a bit fragile.

Bespoke is one of the features that makes the RF23M8090SG stand out. It allows you to personalize your refrigerator using removable colored panels. There are 11 color options, from soft pastels to brighter hues and four metallic finishes. Some of these panels can be personalized by adding photos or text, making the fridge a more personal feature that can be matched to your tie-dye Crocs, Rick Owens dress or Andy Warhol banana neon sign.

The LED lighting can be switched to a different color which is a great feature. The interior of the refrigerator is finished with a sophisticated finish which reduces smudges, and makes cleaning easier. The only real flaws of the RF23M8090SG are its crowded beverage center, and a little learning curve to access the door-indoor feature that houses a water dispenser as well as a pitcher. It is important to locate the lever that is located under halfway down the door. Once you find it the second door opens inside the fridge, housing the docking station for the pitcher as well as the water dispenser.

The 6.8 cubic-foot freezer compartment is big enough to hold a lot of frozen food items and features an amazing slide-out drawer system that allows you to access the food you're looking for without opening the whole compartment. There's also a butter-bin-style compartment in the freezer for easy storage of small items as well as a large capacity drawer which can store larger frozen items. The drawer can be locked using an access code to keep intruders out and has an LED light that is handy so you can see the contents at glance. The freezer is also able to monitor energy consumption and help you reduce your power bill with the SmartThings that are smart and enabled with Energy mode.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

French door refrigerators give a sleek appearance to any kitchen and they are suitable for different sizes of rooms. If you want the convenience of this design without the extra height, a counter-depth fridge is the way to go. This Frigidaire model which we've thoroughly tested, has received an above-average rating in our evaluations due to its affordable price and thoughtful features like an adjustable temperature drawer.

But  french door fridge Frydge  has a couple of nagging issues. Our tests show that the FGHB2866PF gets warm quite a bit in the freezer, and could get uncomfortable warm on the refrigerator's outermost shelves. This is evident in our heat maps which show how internal temperatures vary from minute to minute. The orange area on the upper right corner, which is the butter bin, has been particularly warm for most of our testing period. This might not appear to be a problem at first however, the fridge spends most of its time above 32 degrees.

It's worth noting that this model isn't Energy Star certified, which could be important to some buyers. The issue is that this fridge isn't the best. It lacks advanced features and a durable construction which makes it difficult to recommend it over more expensive options at this price point.

In many ways, the Frigidaire is a stainless-steel version of a fridge you might see in the local appliance store. It's a great choice, with a brushed-finish that looks attractive and is resistant to scratches. However it's not able to differentiate itself from competitors which are more feature-rich and less expensive.

Still, if you're shopping for a cheap counter-depth French door fridge and don't have the funds to splash out on our top choices and the FGHC2331PF is worth a look. It's big enough to meet the needs of the majority of families and does a great job of keeping food fresh. Even even if it's not an energy efficient unit, it's still a lot cheaper than our best-rated models.
